Automations overview
Automations are YAML (or JSON) workflow files under .konvio/automations in an automation source. When a matching event fires on a run branch, Konvio runs the steps and stores a run record.
Agents: always call get_automation_guide before creating or editing an automation. That tool injects the full authoring guide (file shape, check branching, steps, variables, examples). Do not invent YAML from memory.
Mental model
- Source — managed Konvio git, or a linked application repository
- File — one automation per file in
.konvio/automations - Run branches — pushes to these branches reindex live automations
- Draft → commit / PR — edit any branch in the UI, then commit or open a pull request
Where to work
- Automations — list, edit, commit, run manually
- Settings → Automations — manage sources and run branches
