Branches and runs

Automations are git-backed. Editing in Konvio writes a draft for a branch; commit (or open a PR) persists the file.

Run branches

Each source lists run branches (for example main, release/*). When those branches update:

  1. Konvio reindexes .konvio/automations
  2. Matching files become the live automations for event dispatch

Edits on a non-run branch do not change what fires on events until you merge into a run branch.

Editing flow

  1. Open an automation and pick a branch
  2. Edit Form or YAML — changes save as drafts
  3. Commit to write into the source git, or Open PR on a linked source
  4. Discard drops the draft for that path

Manual and test runs

Run manually loads the workflow file from the branch you pick, then starts a run with automation.manual (and any inputs). Use this to verify a branch before promoting it.

Test run starts a quick manual run on the automation’s definition / default branch.

Runs UI

Open an automation’s Runs tab (or a run detail URL) for status, step output, and linked conversations when an agent step ran.
