Starting conversations
Starting a conversation is straightforward: pick an agent, describe the problem, and let Konvio gather context.
Create a new conversation
- Open Conversations.
- Click New conversation.
- Select an agent if multiple are available.
- Send your first message.
Good first messages are specific and operational:
| Weak | Strong |
|---|---|
| "Something is broken" | "Checkout API 5xx rate jumped after deploy abc123 at 14:00 UTC" |
| "Check logs" | "Find error spikes in payment-service logs in the last hour" |
| "Fix it" | "Propose a fix for the connection pool exhaustion in worker.ts" |
Choose the right agent
Agents are configured in Settings → Agents. Different agents may have:
- Different system instructions or focus areas
- Access to different tools and connectors
- Different model settings
If you are unsure which agent to use, start with your workspace default ops agent.
During a conversation
Agents can use tools to:
- Search and read connected repositories
- Query logs and metrics through MCP connectors
- List documentation and prior context
- Propose code changes or specs
You stay in control: review agent output, ask follow-ups, and steer the investigation.
Resume later
Conversations persist in your sidebar list. Return anytime — the full thread history is available.
Note
Long investigations may span multiple sessions. Reference earlier messages when you return so the agent stays aligned.
